miceail's misadventures

How many roads must a man walk down, before you call him a man? How many seas must the white dove sail, before she sleeps in the sand? The answer my friend, is blowing in the wind

fingers crossed

got a call from my teamate sam from last year in ireland the other day. his team in denmark is looking at bringing in another player for the rest of the season. i guess they are in fourth place out of 11 teams. they are looking for a third scorer. he was checking my availability for the possibility of heading over. i guess he's been telling them about me and i guess they are showing some interest. the team he plays on is in the danish second division. if it goes through i'd be joining them after the christmas break for the final eleven games of their regular season and then playoffs.

i'm pretty sure i was wearing a big smile on my face for most of the day after i found out. i'm trying not to get too excited because nothing is for sure yet but...... damn! that would be the kind of xmas present i have always wanted....lol. basically since the summer ended, all i've been thinking about is playing again. especially since the prospective of getting quality game film in the process for next year would be awesome. he says the organization is really good to the imports and that the professionalism by the team and management compared to last year when we were in ireland is night and day.

i guess i'll know in the next week or so whether its a go or not. this week is going to consist of cardio, cardio, cardio......getting back into game shape. i mean i've been lifting and doing plyo consistently but its not the same as trying to join a team in mid season shape. our mens league games are not what i would consider "game shape inducing".... especially considering that we've won our last two games by 68 and 61 pts respectively. i mean we are pretty stacked compared to most teams but the competition is just not there some nights..... the games just deteriorate into fast break lessons.

c'mon baby
