changing of the guard

the new american showed up yesterday. his name is corrie, he's originally from st. louis but lives just outside san francisco right now. he's 27 and pretty cool so far. he used to play in the aba for the san diego skyrockets. he'll be a 2 guard for us. it took him like 2 days to get here, some mixup with his flight and ticket and an 11 hr layover in new york. nightmare. we had the first practice with him last night. we lost 3 guys during practice to injuries... its crazy! they got his visa application in and did some stuff with the local media today. he won't be eligible to play for us till his visa comes... which is expected to take 2-4 weeks. in the meantime he can play for our second team though. our next game is saturday night where we start a 3 game homestand. so hopefully we can hold court till he's ready to roll.
