game 10: munson'd

another tough game this weekend. we had a real chance to get back in the mix like eighty six but instead we appear dead in the water. i'm just at the point of being sick with our results. my sundays and mondays are perpetually ruined during this last little span by brooding about 3 straight losses. this week we dropped the game by the score of 97-81. the sad thing is i don't really have alot of good reasons why we lost. we just generally didn't play a good game.



i hurt my knee in fridays practice... threw some icy hot on it before the game and it stayed loose for the most part but i had limited lateral movement(i think a strained ligament in my knee). It was a tough team to play with that particular problem, they played alot of spread and relied on creation by their athletic wing players. They got a real athletic american swingman... trying to stay with him on a bad leg was tough. they were a pretty solid roster top to bottom, not alot of size but all finishers.



As usual we got pretty much nothing from our danish players and inconsistent play from our imports. defensively we got exploited on the ball and for not playing help defense properly. suffice to say it was another frustrating experience. i don't have any more answers or ideas. game in game out people don't make adjustments to their game or put in the effort or time outside of practice.


I played ok on offense, ended up with 30pts. was agressive in spurts, the usual(big dog) inside/out play. i just wish i woulda finished more when i was in the post, most games i have a distinct advantage down there physically. i let myself get taken out of the flow in the fourth quarter once they went to deny and we could only connect on the backdoor once. we never seem to take advantage of the backdoor lob

diedler finally started signs of life again, still need him to be more aggressive and run a better game. we need less jannero pargo and more steve nash

tieing up for a jump ball: its a comprimising posistion no doubt.... looks like me and dude are looking into each others eyes.... but i'm really just trying to hold back the headbutt

man.... you can just tell i look uncomfortable in the high post. i really believe its the hardest position in basketball to play effectively.... but when you do, its devastating to a defense.
