indecision 2007

Denmark just had a national election yesterday. they are like canada in that the ruling party can call an election when they want. they did so about three weeks ago and bouyed by a strong economy and low unemployment, the incumbents pulled off the win. it was pretty close though from what i was able to gather. the big issue were immigration and how to best deal with setting the numbers allowed and determining the system with which to select newcomers. i'd say the big push coming from eastern europe to fill many entry level and lower end job openings. Fogh Rasmussen was re-elected prime minister and control of the legislature remain with his party. it came and went really quickly. unfortunately my plans to draw glasses and mustaches on the electoral posters never quite came to fruition.
