miceail's misadventures

How many roads must a man walk down, before you call him a man? How many seas must the white dove sail, before she sleeps in the sand? The answer my friend, is blowing in the wind

cinematic

watched a cool movie a few days ago called the man from earth. its based on a book from the 60's by jerome bixby(sci-fi writer of twilight zone and star trek acclaim). it got adapted to a screenplay. its about a guy who is essentially and early man and through a number of factors has never died and its his attempt at telling his friends(a group of university scholars) his tale and the resulting discussion. it brought up alot of really outside the box ideas about what we know and how we can prove things with legitimacy to ourselves. i suppose i was swayed by the anthropological angle in it but its still a worthwhile 2 hrs.

Cinematic,

FYI... Believe it or not, the script is actually NOT based on a book. It's and original idea by the late sci-fi author, Jerome Bixby, conceived in the early 1960's. He actually flirted with the subject matter before (Star Trek's Requiem For Methuselah), but "The Man From Earth" is an original, screenplay.

Thanks so much for the kind words. Please go to the IMDb message board and post your comments! (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0756683/). Thanks again and best wished.
