no country for young men
finally this week is over... its been kinda hectic.
we had out last practice on wednesday; there is the Oslo boys choir taking up our precious gym time for a performance. we had a pretty fun last practice. it was pretty loose, lots of new drills and stuff. my knee is feeling much better, i was able to push it a bit this week and get back into our pre-practice plyo routine.
all my coaching for 2007 is officially done. we had some young kids the last few days and each session just seemed to drag. i dunno maybe cuz its dark at like 3:30 now. mike roberts has given us some love out here though, haven't seen snow yet in jutland and the temp hasn't dipped below zero except for a day or two. don't get me wrong though, i aint in a T and shorts but its manageble.
Lots of last minute stuff in our house, we are all preparing to go home for the holidays... packing, buying tickets, banking, getting presents and all that running around. always got that feeling something is missing from the list though. In preparation for the holiday travels my wallet looks like a currency rainbow with all the diff colors and sizes(danish kroners, euros, cdn$ and english pounds). what happened to the gold standard???
we play our game on saturday afternoon away in odense(which is on the island between jutland and schyaelland(dunno how to spell). Hopefully we end on a good note with a win (we are favored by 7 points). endre and aggie are driving back to hungary straight from the game, he was joking around saying he might just foul out in the first half to get a head start on traffic. after we get back some guys are having a house party, my last 2007 cheers in denmark. then on monday morning i bounce to england and ireland for 10 days . i'm probably packing too much stuff into the allotted time but i got people to see and drinks to be drunk. i'm gonna be able to see alot of family and friends so i'm excited. I get back canuck side on the 27th. i don't think jet lag will even be able to effect me i'll be so amped.... plus: i'm practically wolverine.
