harping on harper
election day came and went with me in the woods. needless to say it wasn't a hot topic with the dudes i've been around up there. i did my part to contribute to the low turnout but it wasn't really a necessary option in this colossal waste of time and money in which the current situation will continue.... just for longer. a chretien-esque continuation. i suppose he hasn't done enough to deserve to be ousted and he has done enough good to stay on. without a competent competitior amongst the other major parties it wasn't a big surprise though from what i gathered in my sparse following of the events. it is good to see in the past few days that he is moving toward a bilateral trade agreement with the EU to free up and diversify our trading market spread. it is important in this time of economic uncertainty with the US and although resource rich(which i see first hand at work daily); we cannot rely on that yankee crutch too long. it was a nice move on his behalf, especially to move forward immediately after middling election results.
